1. UPGRADE RAM :- Random Access Memory is a volatile memory. It is responsible for running all the applications. Greater the RAM, Greater will be your computer’s speed. Every motherboard has some extra slots for additional ram. This method is 100% guaranteed. However, Rams are generally costly. Of course, it will cost you some bucks but it’s the most effective way to speed up your system.

2.FREE UP YOUR HARD DISK :- If the first method is causing you much. Then you can surely follow the followings. If your RAM is very less then you need to free up your hard disk specially your main drive (for windows Local disk C)

3.UNINSTALL  UNWANTED PROGRAMS :- Uninstalling unnecessary program is a good way to prevent your computer from slowing down.

But remember, while using this mode, your sound drivers, wallpaper and other such drivers wont be load by your computer this means you wont be able to use them.    6.WRITER’S  EXPERIENCE :- Try to use your computer on a regular routine. My    PC was inactive for months when I booted up my computer after a long break it was incredibly slow, slower than before. So I tried to used my computer everyday at least twice a day. This trick was very helpful,  my computer cached up SUPERSPPEED. 
   
    BONUS TIPS :-Customize your start up items, avoid opening three to four heavy programs simultaneously, avoid playing games, if it hangs up then don’t click anything just let your computer have some time, scan your system regularly as some viruses might slow your computer.
